Age of Ultron #9

Released: June 19, 2013
Most of issue #10 unfolds in the past as we see Heroic Age-era Hank Pym responding to the dire warning sent by his past self about Ultron. This early sequence sets a nice tone for the issue. It almost plays out like an X-Files episode — looming shadows, mysterious persons shoving packages under the door, etc. This all contributes to the mounting tension as the final showdown with Ultron draws closer. It helps that frequent Brian Michael Bendis collaborator Alex Maleev is on hand to render these pages. His pencils strike a far different mood than anything we’ve seen from the series previously. This issue was meh not a great ending to the series could of been worse but it also could of been better. In all I would rate this issue a 7.5/10 that’s all for this issue and As always keep on marveling!
