Age of Ultron #9

Age of Ultron #9

Written by: Brian Michael Bendis

Art by: Carlos Pacheco, Brandon Peterson

Released: June 5, 2013

This  issue does pick up significantly once Wolverine ditches the hellish world he created and heads back to clean up his mess. As the cover suggests, Wolverine is forced to confront his own self from several hours ago and prevent him from killing Pym. Luckily, unlike the cover image, the two versions of the character are given separate costumes so as to make the interaction less confusing. What ensues is a tense showdown where one Wolverine fights to save Pym’s life and both struggle to convince the Avenger that Ultron is bad news.

Luckily, Invisible Woman joins in the fracas, and those disappointed that she allowed Pym to be killed in issue #6 will be pleased to see a certain amount of redemption now the the crime has been undone. One thing this script excels at from start to finish is reflecting the full horror of Ultron’s reign in how both Sue and Logan are portrayed. Part of me wishes that Bendis had played up the humor inherent to two time-traveling Wolverines a little, but in the end that approach probably would have felt out of place. Back to the Future this isn’t. This issue had great artwork and I’m glad we focus more on the main topic and not the alternate time line. In all I would rate this issue a 8/10 that’s all for this issue and As always keep on marveling!

Hank Pym, She-Hulk, and Wolverine are presenting to the Students of the marvel universe a contest called “Contest Of Chapions” this contest is a way to see who is the strongest and bravest of all the earth. From Wakanda to the Jean grey school to the Avengers Acadamy and so on but this contest is not only to see who is the strongest but to unite all the schools and come as one. While this presentation is happining Thanos’ forces decend on earth but what do the young heroes have to do with him?

I liked this issue a lot actually!! One of the reasons I liked it is because I actually play the game “Contest Of Chapions” (it’s really fun join my alliance if you want “DTMWM”) I liked it because now I know how it all happend. This issue also had tuns of humor in it as as well. The artwork done by sanders is amazing too. I don’t see many artist who still draw like this, when I see art like this I get so happy because it’s just phenomenal. In all I would rate this book a 8.5/10 that’s all for this issue and as always keep on marveling!

Civil war #6

This book is by far one of the most exciting books out of the whole civil war in my opinion! Every thing changes there are a lot of plot twist! oh where oh where do I began. Let’s start from the beginning, shall we? Iron Man and Reed have been making replicas of the super heroes. The replicas are just as strong and have the same super powers as the heroes. On the other side Captain America have been gathering intel on Iron mans plan. They even send The punisher to where they have the negative zone and give them information about security and the layout and everything they need to know about the place so then they can free their friends. Cap has been trying to get anyone on his team because they need all the help they can get. One of the super heroes come back with villains who are willing to help them but The Punisher shoots and kills one of them. Cap gets really mad at him and starts beating him up but The Punisher doesn’t fight back. Cap tells him to fight back but he says he won’t fight him. Cap and his team finally get into the building only to find out it was a trap. Iron man has been knowing there plans Cap’s team is out numbered by 1/10 but when all hope seems lost there is a plot twist. Cap had a spy on Iron Mans team. They knocked out Hank Pym and one of the Young Avengers shape changers was actually acting like Hank. Since he looked and even sounded like Hank he was able to do anything with the replicas of the super heroes. He turned them against Iron mans team making both sides fair. This book was amazing and exciting! I would rate this book a 10/10 i liked the art work as well. That’s all for today and as always keep on marveling.

Ant-Man #1

I really liked this first issue of Ant-Man it’s really good!!! I would say that the author spencer really packed a lot into the first issue and I think that’s a good thing. I thought that Ant-Man was going to be Hank Pym but it’s actually Scott Lang I was a little bummed out about that but it’s okay. This book looks into his personal life, Scott talks about he’s ex-wife and how their marriage didn’t work he also talks about why he use to steal from people. He is also trying to get a job by working with Tony Stark but to do this he has to go through a lot of obstacles and compete with other heroes. He does get the job but at the same time his ex-wife and daughter are moving to Miami he has to decide to stay with Tony and be head of security and finally be in the big league and have the life he always wanted. He can also pay for his daughters education or he can go with his ex-wife and daughter to Miami and be a good dad. What will he do?? Read the book to find out!! I would rate this book a 9/10 that’s all for today and as always keep on marveling
